1.How did Rayonier Advanced Materials begin?
 

Rayonier Advanced Materials was created as an independent, publicly traded company on June 27, 2014 through a spin-off from Rayonier Inc. (NYSE:RYN).  We trace our roots back to 1926 when the company was originally formed as Rainier Pulp and Paper.  You can find a more complete history on our website.


2.What does Rayonier Advanced Materials do?
 Rayonier Advanced Materials produces customized cellulose specialties products, as well as some commodity viscose and fluff pulps at its two plants in Florida and Georgia. Derived from wood, our cellulose specialties products are highly purified cellulose fibers that are manufactured through proprietary processes to each customer’s unique specifications. Rayonier Advanced Materials’ intellectual property and manufacturing processes have been developed over 85 years, resulting in unique product properties and very high quality and consistency. The company’s facilities are capable of producing up to 675,000 metric tons of cellulose specialties products for use in a wide range of industrial and consumer products such as filters, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.

3.Who are our customers?
 Our primary customers are chemical and specialty chemical companies that use our products as a component in their manufacturing processes. We’ve enjoyed long relationships with our customers, some who have been working with the company for 60-80 years.

4.Where are you located?
 Our headquarters are located in Jacksonville, Florida. We operate cellulose specialty plants in Jesup, Georgia and Fernandina Beach, Florida. The company also owns fiber facilities throughout the Southeast that provide wood chips for our plants. Additionally, the company maintains offices in London, Shanghai and Tokyo.

 Rayonier Advanced Materials employs roughly 1,200 full time employees.

 Our fiscal year ends on December 31 and our fiscal quarters end on the last Saturday of each calendar quarter.

12.What is the investor relations “quiet period?”
 To ensure compliance with applicable law and fair practices for all investors and analysts, Rayonier Advanced Materials has implemented a quiet period that commences on the last day of each fiscal quarter and ends after the quarterly earnings teleconference for each of the first three quarters of the fiscal year. For the fourth quarter of the fiscal year, the quiet period commences two weeks prior to the last day of the fiscal quarter and ends after the earnings teleconference. During the quiet period, the company will not conduct meetings or calls with analysts and investors. These communications will resume after the completion of each quarterly earnings call.
